We’re a wool festival dedicated to the best of yarn, knitting, and crochet, in the gateway to the Peak District.

Join us for a special day dedicated to celebrating the artistry of wool - a must visit for yarn lovers and curious crafters alike.

Is it time for a new hobby? If you’ve never picked up a crochet hook before, this is the workshop for you. During this informal 2 hour beginner’s workshop with Jackie from Stitches by the Sea blog https://stitchesbythesea.water.blog/ you will learn: • the basic principles of crochet, including holding the hook • maintaining your tension • choosing your yarn • some basic stitches There’s absolutely no pressure to make anything, but by the end you might have the start of a mug rug to finish at home. Materials provided, including some “how to” guides to help you practice afterwards.

Why not join us on Saturday 31st May, for an informal 1½-hour Learn to Knit session? Knitting needles and yarn included in workshop cost of £10. Instruction leaflet to take away so that you can keep practising at home. Come along to our monthly Craft and Chatter sessions for ongoing support. Please book for your session in our upstairs craft room. Numbers restricted to 6 knitters per session (though children may have an accompanying adult).
